RULES & REGULATIONS

CLICK HERE - to pre-register online for all Open Class Exhibits from 6/1/10 until 7/23/10.

1 - The Fair Board and Teton County Extension Service will take all
reasonable precautions for the safe keeping of stock and other articles,
but will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur.

2 - All judging of Open Class Exhibits will be done at central tables.
Booth attendants are responsible for seeing that all exhibits are brought to the judging area.

3 - No article shall receive a prize when deemed unworthy by the
awarding judges, though it may be the only one of it’s kind entered. When
an exhibit is unworthy of first prize, it may be awarded second, third, etc.
or none, as the judges deem worthy. Judges will list disqualifying reasons

4 -Only one item per class may be entered, except where noted.
Entries should not be entered in the "any other" class if there is a class
listed with the division for them.

5 - The Teton County Fair Management reserves the right to interpret these
rules and regulations to arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions and
differences in regard hereto, arising out of and not covered by them.

6 - Exhibitors: 75 & over exhibitors, Junior exhibitors age 12 and under,
Youth Intermediate exhibitors age 13-18, Professional exhibitors, and Handicapped
exhibitors should check the appropriate box on the entry form. Exceptions made only in
Youth Divisions, where exhibitors should follow listed age categories.

7 - Protests: All protests must be submitted in writing to the Fair Board
President, P.O. Box 3075, Jackson WY, 83001 accompanied by a
check for $25. If the protest is upheld, the $25 will be returned.
If the protest is denied, the $25 will be forfeited.

Entries
All entries or exhibits in any department must be from people in Teton
County, Wyoming including summer residents.
Pre-entry forms for Open Class Exhibits must be completed and turned into
the Fair Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2010.
Entry forms can be picked up at the Fair Office, Extension Office, or taken from the Fair Book.
Pre-entering is not required, but is highly recommended to avoid long lines.

Hanging requirements for Open Class Painting and Photography: Picture
exhibits must have adequate hangers. Wire permanently attached to the
frames is considered "adequate" for fair exhibits. Taped string will not be
acepted as a hanger! Self-adhesive plastic picture tags glued to back work great. All items exhibited must be the work of the exhibitor.
We desire to showcase the work of this past year. Please enter items which
the exhibitor has made or finished this year. Entries previously judged at
the Teton Count Fair should not be re-entered in subsequent years.

All items exhibited must be the work of the exhibitor.

Noxious weeds are threatening native plants and wildlife habitate throughout Teton County. Please take care not to transport these invasive, non-native species when enjoying the outdoors. Learn which noxious weeds to look for. Contact Teton County Weed & Pest at 733-8419 or check out their website at www.tcweed.org.

Professionals
Individuals who receive compensation for items in the division they are
entering are considered professionals and are not eligible for the general
open class competition in the division. "Professional" should be checked on the
entry tag. Professional categories will be judged using the placing system awarding
1 Blue, 1 Red and 1 White ribbon per class.

Exhibits
Open Class Exhibits must be brought to the Fair Building on Tuesday,
July 27th between Noon and 7:00 p.m. If you have pre-entered, your computerized
entry tags will be there to attach to your item. If you have not already entered,
you may do so at this time, but pre-entering is highly recommended to avoid long lines.

All exhibits must be in place by 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27th. Only exhibits in
Department A - Open Class Agronomy & Gardens and Department B - Floriculture will be taken on Wednesday,
July 28th between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.

Release Time of Exhibits
All exhibits must remain in place until 7:30 a.m. on Monday, August 2nd.
Exhibits must be picked up from 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 2nd.
Should any exhibit be removed before this time or not picked up by this
time, all premiums earned shall be forfeited. The Exhibit Hall is no longer staffed
after 2:00 pm on August 2nd.

Premiums
Open Class: Danish System. Blue Ribbons-$4
Open Class Professional Category: Placing System. Blue Ribbon-$4
Division Grand Champion-$10
Best of Show Ribbons-$25

Payment of Premiums
All premiums will be paid by the Fair Board in cash at the time exhibits are
released on Monday, August 2nd until 2:00 pm, with the exception of the 4-H premiums which will be paid by check at the 4-H Achievement Night to members who have completed 4-H requirements. All premiums earned shall be forfeited if exhibits are not picked up on Monday, August 2nd from 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Please consider donating your premium to "Friends of Teton County Fair".
